Que disent nos invités ?
We loved our glamping experience, waking in the morning to see the deer strolling past in the opposite field was very special. The site had more than enough to keep us and our young glampers (aged 2-6 years) busy for all 4 nights, it was a perfect blend of relaxing and active. Over the August bank holiday the farm had extra activities, like face painters, musicians, story-tellers, activity trails as well as their usual pat-a-pet, tractor deer safari, meeting the animals. As overnight guests you also get a "VIP" Farm Tour which was a great way to have one-one time with the rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises and meet the other animals. Older families may wish to leave and explore further afield if staying more than 3 nights. But we found the go karts, indoor slides, bouncing pillows, nature trail, play park, obstacle course, flying fox and football pitch enough for us and the kids. At no point did they ask for a phone or an iPad! The tents were great, there was a fire starting welcome pack, but nothing else in terms of washing-up liquid, sponge, tea, coffee etc. Ice blocks were available to pick up from a secure shed in the next field - we brought our Hesky too and stored this in the massive cooling chest in the tent, which helped to keep milk, cheese and meats extra cool. This shed is where you can charge your phone/battery packs. At the tent we toasted marshmallows, made pizza and cooked it (in a frying pan) on the wood burning stove, BBQ'd outside, even the oven was good enough to cook the dishes and curries available in the farm shop. The farm shop was limited in terms of basics, like bread, fruit, vegetables, so if you plan to cook it is worth bringing this to save leaving once you've arrived. It sold mostly meat and oven meals, together with some cheese and limited range of pasta and sauce, jars etc. We did have a supply of torches, which I found essential as the candles alone wasn't adequate enough - it is extremely dark :).
It was a great experience to stay at the farm. The tents are great, set up with everything that you would need. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The jubilee weekend was an excellent weekend to be there, as there was a lot of entertainment going on for kids. Lots of opportunities to see different types of animals. If you like a quick cup of tea I would advise taking a gas burner with you. The log burner needs a lot of work to get it going. Overall, a great experience, and I would highly recommend staying at the farm.
We thought the bucklebury faculties together with the glamping was fabulous. Staff were very attentive. Although Mia was sleeping in the cupboard bed and woke up with bedbugs bites. Very prompt service to switch the bedding. Might need to give the tents a thorough clean etc our pilot for the shower kept turning off but again prompt service to fix it
Such a shame. Buckle berry farm and it’s camping set up were fine but they are not featherdown. No honesty box for the kids to shop, not much to buy camping wise in the shop, bread was £4.50 and only sourdough available. Wood was £8.50. There were no chickens to collect eggs from. Constantly surrounded by public with not even a field suitable and private to play kite, frisby etc. we are at the nostalgia end our featherdown farm breaks. Kids are 12 and 13 and we just like to recreate the memories of when they were young. We didn’t take cash as usually we can pay at the end. They could not get anything for themselves. We left Sunday afternoon.
The holiday was very successful, the conditions in the tent were very good and the staff tried their best to help in cases where we needed help. The whole site is very diverse, well maintained and offers many activities for children of all ages.
I highly recommend anyone who wants a heart-felt nature with his family to think about a vacation at such a site
As it was our first time glamping and i was looking after 3 girls and 2 women. at times challenging when cooking for everyone and keeping the fire lit as they enjoy there comfort too much. personally i think you guys have a great set up and very acomodating to all. The kids had a ball and loved the animals.
We had a magical stay at Feather Down Bucklebury with our 3 and 6 year olds. The site was in a secluded part of a farm park, which meant there was loads of brilliant play areas during the day to keep the kids busy but it felt very private when we went back to the lodges too. It was also magical being there after closing time when the visitors had left and we had the run of the outdoor play areas just for the Featherdown guests. The tractor ride to see and feed the deer was an amazing experience for adults and kids alike, and the kids were wowed by the egg collecting too. The staff were all very friendly and we are already planning our return for next year.
The place was wonderful and the kids loved having access to the animal farm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went with other families and we had the best time!

We had an amazing weekend stay at Bucklebury. The tent was well equipped, the wood burning stove was brilliant and the staff at the farm could not have been more helpful and friendly. The kids had a wonderful time in the playground and feeding all the animals. A truly magical weekend for all of us. Thank you guys.
Good fun although position of site not the best I have experienced.
Amazing experience, having the farm and park to yourself after all the day visitors left made it extra special.
Fantastic stay, the things for young children to do are amazing. So peaceful and feeding the deer was a highlight. Amazing hosts always responded quickly and nothing too much travel. Can’t wait to go back next year

We had a fantastic time. It would have been helpful to have known that all duvets are single, and that the double bed is a king, in order to have brought the correct size bedding. Also, would have been good to know that coffee beans and tea are provided. Minor points though, overall, we thought the set up was excellent!
Second visit and still a lovely welcoming weekend break.
Absolutely lovely weekend! The location was beautiful, tents clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful - especially Chris. Really appreciated the option for a late check-out. An added bonus was all the great facilities and play areas around the farm. The tractor ride to see the deer was wonderful!
Excellent getaway - so enjoyable
Fun, simple family break on a amazingly run friendly farm.
An absolutely brilliant weekend for us all! The kids had the greatest time, as did the adults...can't wait to go back sometime!
This stay was disappointing. There was no welcome at the location and it felt as though we were 'left to it'. There was no orientation given like we have had at other sites. The tents were not cleaned properly - so are clearly not adhering to current regulations. We found earrings belonging to a previous occupant in one tent and there was loads of dust under all the beds. I had to ask 3 times to get a bed sheet. The candles were half burnt (in the current circumstances we would expect these to be new). There were no signs coming into the site to indicate that we were at a Featherdown location. There was one small fridge for the use of 5 tents which was too small. The honesty shop was lacking in essentials. It felt as though we had to keep spending extra money in the farm shop rather than being able to access items via the honesty shop. The tents were located too far from the fridge and phone charging areas. The site could really benefit from having an area for glampers near the tents with these items in. There were no sink plugs which made washing up difficult - again not ideal with a pandemic. The site could do with regularly topping up hand sanitiser as it was empty around some play areas. A nice touch would be to provide some in the tents. When we left we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay. It just felt as though we were another transaction.
On the positive side the showers were excellent - far better than the other Featherdown locations we have stayed at. The children in our group loved the animals and play areas.
Lovely getaway with the kids, facilities were excellent and everyone had a lovely time.
Brilliant family weekend
Fabulous short break of 2 nights stay. Very comfortable accommodation. Kids loved cupboard bed. Great facilities and really enjoyed ride to see deer park.
Fantastic, so much fun for all the family.
Very professional, staff very friendly, could not be more helpful. Tent was fantastic with everything you needed.
A truly fantastic family adventure! - camping has never been so easy and fun for the whole family!
A total get-away.

Mooie locatie op een hertenpark met enorme speeltuin voor de kinderen. Veel te doen en te zien e de tent, als vanouds heerlijk!
A perfect break in every way! Great accommodation, helpful and friendly staff and a haven for kids to run free in nature and enjoy close interaction with animals.
Brilliant, so much to do, great staff. You need to put everything available on the Featherdown site!
