Située au coeur des Mendips, cette ferme de 400 hectares s'étend le long des Gorges de Cheddar. La famille Small élève des moutons et des bovins. Ils participent au Countryside Stewardship Scheme depuis 20 ans. Cheddar Gorge Farm accueille des milliers d'agneaux au printemps sur des terres sauvegardées par les National and Somerset Wildlife Trusts.

Explorez les Mendip Hills du Somerset
Si vous voulez explorer les alentours, essayez la superbe promenade de 45 minutes dans la vallée de Cheddar et visitez la maison de son dernier producteur de fromage, Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company.
Les villes de Bristol et Bath ne sont qu'à 40 minutes. La station balnéaire de Weston-super-Mare est à 30 minutes de la ferme.
Les activités disponibles à Cheddar Gorge
Cette ferme, avec ses balançoires, ses toboggans et son bac à sable, constitue un excellent terrain de jeu pour les plus petits. Ils pourront également nourrir les moutons, les chèvres et les poules. Pendant que les enfants jouent, installez-vous dehors sur les chaises longues avec votre livre préféré ou laissez-vous tenter par un des paniers garnis. Le soir, asseyez-vous autour du feu de camp, faites griller vos guimauves et partagez vos aventures à la ferme.

The accommodation and facilities were excellent. A safe and friendly environment for our children. The farm tour was superb. We had a wonderful stay and our hosts were fantastic. Highly recommend staying here.

We hadden een blokhut geboekt en deze had een mooie plek op een goed georganiseerde camping. Camping ligt in een prachtig heuvelland en 40 minuten rijden van een mooie badplaats. Ook Bath ligt op die afstand. Er is een mooi grasveld en een overdekte schuur voor kinderen om te spelen, 2x per week een pizza-avond en een interessante farmtour. Het winkeltje was erf fijn.

The accommodation was great, well equipped and comfortable. The farm tour was excellent and the area beautiful. Only downside was all the products and services felt overpriced, ie £5 to use the washing machine, £12 a bag of charcoal... Steep.

Brilliant, Kate and James couldn’t have been any more helpful, even before we arrived they were on hand to answer questions and offer some tips on things we should bring to ensure we made the most of our stay.The farm was amazing, spotlessly clean and we would definitely recommend.

We had the most wonderful weekend at Warren Farm for my 40th birthday. Our sons (17 and 18) loved it as well- the pizza night was a big hit! Just being ‘off-grid’ and playing cards by candlelight while the kettle heated on the wood stove meant we had quality family time. Kate and James went to the extra mile to make us welcome- we will be back!

Kate and James made us feel so welcome. The farm tour was extremely insightful and James was so knowledgeable about the local area and the history, as well as sharing all that goes on at their farm. Having the goat pen just across from the tent was fabulous, the kids loved them! The honesty shop was well stocked and very reasonably priced, and the indoor barn area was great. We will return! It was an amazing trip, just wish we could stay a little longer!

Perfect place for newbie glampers who have been converted. We’ve been on lots of Featherdown holidays but this time we were going with friends that were hesitant about glamping. I rang Featherdown and they recommended Warren Farm for newbies as it has a really good honesty shop, indoor ‘barn’ space if it rains and a beautiful walk down Cheddar Gorge from the campsite. They weren't wrong!

Our best ever family holiday. Kate and James were wonderful hosts we learnt a lot about farming life and a working farm. The opportunity to all be off grid, spending our time in nature each with a job or responsibility to keep our little camp going was a joyous and wholesome experience. We’ve always opted for holidays abroad or Center Parcs but we loved the whole experience of Warren Farm so much it has changed our view and our approach to UK holidays.

Our favourite Feather Down experience so far! Warren Farm is such a beautiful, well thought out site - the play park and goat paddock were big hits with the children, there's a great indoor rumpus room for rainy days and the honesty shop is very thoughtfully stocked. The location of the site is brilliant - very close to Cheddar, Wookey etc and there are some brilliant walks from the campsite (maps provided). Our hosts were wonderful - pizza night was brilliant and generous and we loved the farm tour. A perfect break all round!

Wholesome tech free family time in a beautiful setting.
Our canvas hideaway was gorgeous, everyone wants to come back. The cupboard bed was a real hit.
James and Kate were great hosts. We highly recommend the farm tour, James had so much to tell us about the farm from farming animals to the geology of the area. Thanks for a great stay.

We loved our stay at featherdown. We stayed in a cabin with 2 young children and a dog. Lots to do and see. Very peaceful on the farm. The site was more organised than others we have stayed at - the pizza night and farm tour were both great
