Si vous recherchez du confort et de la chaleur, Moor Farm dans le Gloucestershire, est fait pour vous. Vous rencontrerez Richard et les trois générations de la famille Watts qui travaillent dans cette ferme traditionnelle. Ils partageront avec vous leur passion pour la nature et les races d'animaux rares.
Les lodges sont situés près du bosquet où vous pourrez apercevoir les moutons, les poules et un troupeau de boeufs rares du Gloucestershire paître sur la plaine inondable de la Severn.
À proximité des Cotswolds et de certaines des plus belles villes d'Angleterre.
Si vous avez envie de découvrir d'autres endroits que la ferme, la ville ancienne de Gloucester, célèbre pour sa cathédrale emblématique et son histoire qui remonte à l'époque romaine, n'est qu'à 8 km. Bourton-on-the-Water est un charmant village des Cotswolds, situé à une courte distance en voiture, il a été régulièrement élu comme l'un des plus beaux villages d'Angleterre. Ou encore Stroud, tout proche, a été élu meilleur endroit où vivre en Angleterre en 2021 par le Sunday Times.
Les activités disponibles à Moor Farm
Pendant votre séjour, vous pourrez profiter de la piscine intérieure. Il est également possible de pêcher, de faire du bateau ou du vélo autour de la ferme. Donnez un coup de main à Richard pour rassembler l'adorable troupeau de moutons Hampshire Down. À la tombée de la nuit, vous pourrez apercevoir des cerfs sauvages pendant que le dîner est en train de cuire sur le poêle à bois avec de délicieux ingrédients provenant du cellier. À la fin de la journée, installez-vous confortablement dans vos lits.

We were slightly apprehensive if the marketing blurb on the website would reflect reality. The holiday surpassed all our expectations. Richard and Wendy were amazing hosts and our kids had a blast swimming in the pool, picking plums, walking the pines and generally running around freely. Thank you

We love Moor Farm. It’s our third year here and continues to exceed our expectations. Richard is an incredible host. He goes out of his way to make it a brilliant holiday. Pizza night is always excellent and the farm is the perfect escape. We love the pool, too. Thank you Richard, Wendy and family. We’ll be back, again!

We felt so welcomed by our hosts Richard and Wendy at Moor Farm. There were so many lovely opportunities to get involved at the farm. The kids had such a free rein to explore and have independance. The tents were amazing, really comfortable beds, delicious food available if you wanted it. And just generally a beautiful spot. We had such wonderful weather but even if there was rain it wouldn’t have been an issue. Highly recommend. And we will definitely be back again.

This was a return trip to Moor Farm in our group of 3 generations and sure it won’t be our last. Such a lovely setting, the pool is a great addition, fun and interesting farm tour and the pizza night hosted by Richard and Wendy is the best of all the Featherdowns we’ve done :-)

This was our third visit to Moor Farm, which is all you need to know about the place really! Richard and Wendy are excellent hosts which is really important to me as an adult travelling alone with children. My only problem this year was we only stayed for 3 nights instead of our usual 7 and it just wasn’t long enough! This is a fantastic chill out and slow down place.

We hebben een héérlijk verblijf gehad op Moor Farm met kinderen die het erg jammer vonden om weer te vertrekken. Altijd een goede graadmeter! Richard en Wendy zijn erg gastvrij en staan altijd klaar voor vragen en hulp. Pizza avond is een echte aanrader, voor de gezelligheid, de heerlijke pizza´s, appel cider, en vooral het toetje! Geniet van de rust en een WIFI-stroomloos leven!

This was our first experience using Feather Down and we absolutely loved it. Richard and Wendy were the perfect hosts and incredibly accommodating. Our son absolutely loved seeing the cows and goats and we had a lot of fun around the farm. I also highly recommend the pizza night + Richard's cider! Thanks for a lovely weekend.

A really special holiday, we have never done anything like this before and would certainly do it again. The cabin bed and secret doors were a hit with the kids. Only issue was there was no Sean The Sheep as advertised which was a real shame. Also no hand soap was included.

Perfect week away. Richard and Wendy were the perfect hosts and were always available when we needed anything. The kids loved spending time outdoors and with all the animals.

We had a fantastic stay at Moor Farm. We hired 3 tents as we were a group a of 12. We were all next to each which was lovely as it meant we could all spend more time together. Richard and Wendy were wonderful. Very helpful, approachable and relaxed. Tents were great with everything we needed for the week. We did the Farm tour with Richard which was very good, following this we went to the pizza night which was delicious. Everything is very well run and organised. We made use of the pool, toys in the farm yard and even were lucky enough to have some extra trips on the farm buggy up to the tents.
We would highly recommend Moor Farm for a holiday, we hope to return again.
(We were a party of 6 adults, 6 children -ranging from 5-10, and they all had the time of their lives).

My son and I had a wonderful weekend at Moor Farm. The beautiful weather really helped but the farm, the farmer, the pool,
the woods, just the whole experience was fab. We will definitely come back again, I've already been telling family and friends to book a trip there.My only criticisms would be the cost per hour for using the swimming pool. We used it multiple times and that was quite expensive. Would have used it even more if didn't cost as much. And we were disappointed not to have the pizza night but the farmer did explain why this wasn't possible on our weekend.

Wonderful farm stay. We all learnt lots on the farm tours and there was something for everyone; lambs and calves being born for my daughter and son, indoor swimming for everyone and the most beautiful view for us all by the woods where we heard owls at night. We loved pizza night - it was delicious! The canal nearby was peaceful and we will try canoeing next time we come. This is our second time and we would not hesitate to stay again. Many thanks to the Watts for going above and beyond.
